With its "Fun Therapy" philosophy, Camp Quality aims to enrich the lives of sick children and bring them some happiness during a very difficult time. Among its activities are a recreational and camping program, educational puppet program and family assistance packages.

Since 1999, RE/MAX Australia has helped to raise a total of $700,000 for Camp Quality through fundraisers, events and donation pledges from salespeople. In 2006 alone, RE/MAX Australia raised an amazing $86,887.93.

More than 5,000 children attend approximately 125 camps each year. The puppet program tours schools across Australia with performances using life-size puppets about children with cancer. The family assistance packages provide funds for families struggling financially and pay for siblings to also attend the camps - giving parents a much-needed rest. Many RE/MAX salespeople pledge a percentage of their commissions to Camp Quality. It takes just $550 to send one child to camp and RE/MAX Sales Associates and Broker/Owners want to achieve this for as many children as possible.

The RE/MAX hot air balloon is one of the most recognised corporate logos in the world. In Australia, RE/MAX balloons are often seen floating over early morning traffic, above the streets and suburbs of metropolitan areas in Queensland and Victoria.

The hot air balloon became RE/MAX International’s company logo after RE/MAX participated in a hot air balloon festival in New Mexico in 1978. It was intended to be a publicity stunt but was so successful that RE/MAX executives decided to adopt it as the company logo. The RE/MAX balloon symbolises the company’s independence, freedom, innovation and enjoyment - all of which are important features of the RE/MAX system and culture.

RE/MAX International has the largest balloon fleet in the world with more than 90 balloons regularly drifting across skylines worldwide. In 1998, RE/MAX International Chairman Dave Liniger and two crew members made headlines by attempting the world’s first stratospheric helium balloon expedition from Alice Springs in Australia’s Northern Territory.
